Victor O. Akalonu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from Imo State University, Nigeria. He is an academic staff member in the Department of History and International Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is currently pursuing a PhD in History at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, where he specializes in African history, the history of psychiatry, colonialism, gender, and the history of medicine.
