About:

Jim Morgan received his M.A. in history from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Jim earned ABD status and an M.A. in political science at the University of New Orleans. He completed his B.A. in history at Miami University. At CWRU, Jim has received a History Associates fellowship, a Mellon Foundation fellowship, and the Carl W. Ubbelohde Prize as co-winner of the Department of History teaching assistant of the year. Jim’s research focuses on modern U.S. history, diplomatic history, American sports history, and U.S. cultural history. His dissertation topic is the American New Navy of 1881-1920.
