Stephen Whelan
About
Stephen Whelan is a PhD student here at CWRU who is focused on culture, education, and the intellectual history during the Early American Republic. Stephen’s experience as a military veteran and former high school teacher places him in a unique position to offer a multitude of perspectives that immeasurably contribute to his fields of study. Outside of academics, Stephen remains busy at home with his wife, 5-month-old baby, and 3-year-old toddler. Stephen’s passion for history and laser-focused work ethic have made him a valuable asset to CWRU. If you see him around, he would love to chat about anything related to history or politics!
