Hussein Ibish and David Myers have partnered together for a decade in bringing a nuanced, multi-lens perspective to the history of Israel-Palestine. In their joint presentation at CWRU on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, they will offer such a perspective on the lead-up to the brutal Hamas attack of Oct. 7, 2023, and the devastating Israeli response in Gaza.
This presentation will explore the array of forces that led to Oct. 7, and the profoundly consequential sequence of events that followed it. In addition to offering much-needed historical perspective, it will also address where the rapidly unfolding events in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon and Iran might be heading in the future. RSVP by the end of day Thursday, Oct. 3
