Stephanie Redekop is a Full-Time Lecturer in the Writing Program at Case Western Reserve University. Her research and teaching consider the question: what does it mean to believe in a nonfictional text? Her work focuses especially on literary nonfiction (including the essay, life writing, and literary journalism), religion and literature, and the role of facts and storytelling in public discourse. Before coming to CWRU, she taught at the University of Toronto and Boston College. Her writing appears or is forthcoming in Genre: Forms of Discourse and Culture, the Journal of the History of Ideas blog, and English Today. She is currently developing a volume for the MLA Options for Teaching series titled
