Meredith Steck is fascinated by science storytelling and writing pedagogy. She has a PhD in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from the University of Minnesota, where she completed a dissertation on insect decision-making and began teaching writing. She has been working in university writing centers and classrooms for the past 10 years and continues to do research on writing center theory and practice. Her classes focus on helping students write about the science stories that matter to them, while communicating clearly and preserving their unique voice.
