Joshua Wilt

About
Dr. Wilt received his PhD in Personality Psychology from Northwestern University. Before joining Case Western Reserve University as a full-time Lecturer, he served the department in a variety of roles, including as Postdoctoral Scholar, Part-Time Instructor, and most recently as a Senior Research Associate. Dr. Wilt has taught a range of undergraduate courses across institutions, including General Psychology, Research Design and Analysis, and the Psychology of Personality. He strives to foster inclusive, engaging classroom environments that help students think critically, connect psychological theory to lived experience, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the human mind. His research focuses on the integration of personality traits and processes, and on existential issues surrounding identity, meaning, and religion/spirituality. He uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore questions at the intersection of personality psychology, existential psychology, and mental health.
