Adjunct Assistant Professor
Dr. Su is Curator and Head of Paleobotany and Paleoecology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Her research is focused on the paleoecology of early hominins and the ecological factors that drove the evolution of early hominins. She has studied the paleoenvironments of some of the most important sites for our understanding of human evolution, including Laetoli (Tanzania), Middle Awash (Ethoiopia) and Woranso-Mille (Ethiopia). She is currently refining our understanding of the ecological niche of Australopithecus afarensis through further investigations at Laetoli and Woranso-Mille and conducting fieldwork at Laetoli.
